St. Nicholas Charities is a non-profit 501(c)(3) serving Dallas-Fort Worth’s low-income mothers-to-be and young families — with baby supplies and financial assistance. The goal is to help empower pregnant women through community support, love, empathy, and comfort into motherhood.
St. Nicholas Charities also aims to help remove the stigmatization that occurs when a teen pregnancy happens.
We provide much-needed baby supplies, such as diapers, wipes, baby shampoo and wash, formula, baby food, blankets, car seats, underwear, socks, (up to 4T) to low-income pregnant women and/or families. We also offer financial assistance to mothers-to-be who need help paying their medical bills, rent, etc.
The charity is formed on the foundations of Saint Nicholas. He is the patron saint of children. He was a leader for all Christians. He was a priest, a bishop, and always put Jesus Christ at the forefront of his life and ministry. Saint Nicholas has a loving devotion for children and others in need.
It is through Jesus’s corporal works of mercy, that we are asked to help people in need. The seven corporal (physically-orientated) works of mercy are to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick and imprisoned, and to bury the dead.
St. Nicholas Charities will primarily assist qualified applicants that contact the charity directly. At this time we are graciously only accepting monetary donations. We do plan on accepting tangible items for donations by Christmas 2023.
We also work with other Dallas and Collin County community-based programs to make sure these items go directly to the women and/or families in need of baby supplies.
We serve, advocate and empower people in need regardless of race, age, gender or national origin. All services are provided free of charge and remain completely confidential.
